After the Cruise
It's been crazy since we've gotten back from our cruise, so I've not been able to add anything to the blog, but I'll begin soon. We took about 1000 pictures, so there are a lot of things to share.
Sunday we found out that my cousin Bobby died. He was only 57. He has been fighting cancer for a couple of years and was doing well, but his luck ran out. He was always a positive person and knowing his time was limited, he stayed upbeat and didn't tell many people about how bad it was until the end.
Monday I drove to Salisbury, NC for the service. It was very moving with a lot of people in attendance. He will be missed and at least he no longer is in pain. He was one of the good guys. God bless him.
During my North Carolina trip, the air went out in my car, so I just got back from the repair shop with new air and a dent in my wallet. Great way to spend a day I thought was open.
Most of you know that I have a broken foot that requires surgery. I've been coordinating between two doctor's offices that don't seem to want to talk with each other since before the cruise. Prior to surgery which has not yet be scheduled, I have to get some tests to be sure I can pay the bill after the cutting begins. So Friday, someone will be sucking some blood out of me and then zapping my heart to be sure I'm alive. Next Tuesday one of the doctor's will review the blood results and the zapping to see if I will be around to pay the bill after surgery. Some time after the Tuesday appointment I should know when the cutting and carving will take place.
This weekend I'm heading to Kissemee with Cousin Les to visit some distant relatives from England. I'm looking forward to the down time and catching up on what's happening in the Mother country.
Cruise pictures will begin when I rest up.
