Bob's Story

I'm just an old steel worker from Ohio that played with telephones for 30 years and decided to live a stress free life and to be a nice guy to all regardless of how many jerks I meet.

Hands

My hands have not been good for about 9 months.  They were so bad in July (after golfing in Ohio) that I finally went to a doctor.  Since then I've had 6 cortisone shots in my wrist.  They are not fun, but they seem to work, at least in the short term.  However, after I rest my hands for a couple of weeks and then resume golf and softball, they hurt again.  The doctor tells me the only way they will heel is to rest them.  It's hard to rest them when you use your hands for everything.  I golfed this week and they hurt. so I've decided to rest them again until the first of the year.  I hope to feel better when the softball season starts up the second week in January.  It's not easy getting old.

There is a benefit in old age.  I am on Medicare starting the month.  Today I got a free flu shot.  It's not much of a benefit, because I use to get free flu shots at my doctors office.  Now I can get them almost anywhere because they like us old people.
