We had some company last week.  The weather could have been better, but it was not real bad.  We enjoyed the kids, beating Dylan in golf and watching Jes taking a nap when she could find the time.  Here are a couple of pics of their visit.

After a hard day playing, we needed a break at R.J.Gators.  Because of the cool weather this is the only gator they saw.

On a walking trip around the pond, Tatum brought Barbara a turtle shell and a goat neck.  a gator ate the rest of the turtle and goat.
 

Happy Birthday

Jes and her family were in town this week.  They, and Barbara, surprised me with a birthday party.  For those that don't know, my birthday is the day before Christmas.  This year it was changed to Thanksgiving.

 

I had a little help opening my presents, which included a kindle fire.  I read a lot, but haven't thought too much about a kindle since the county library is pretty close.  However, the library does have books you can download, so I'll try to get into the present and use it.

I thought the kids were happy because of my birthday, but the way they were looking at the cupcakes, I may have not been as popular as I thought.

My Grandson

This is my grandson.  He plays football for Northwest High School.  If you're not familiar with Texas football, let me just say "they take it way to serious".

 

His team is very good and they are in the State playoffs, so I guess he and some of his team mates changed their hairstyle for luck.  He is young, so he doesn't understand that luck has very little to do with winning football games, but has a lot to do with finding a girl friend.
