New Softball Season

The softball season has started.  This is my new "uniform".  When I first moved here we didn't have "uniforms", only hats.  Now most team managers want everyone to buy a shirt with the hat.  So now my cost per season has increased from about $5 to about $15.  There goes more of the kids money.

After a golf day when it was clear Notre Dame was going to be in the BCS Championship game one of the guys said this would be the year they would be back on top winning it all.  Several of us thought he was kidding himself, so he bet $10 with anyone that wanted to bet.  Seven of us said we would take the bet.  This is how he paid off his debts.  I'll give him credit for creativity, but not for betting his heart instead of his pocket.

It's not unusual for a blimp to be seen in the Florida sky.  I suppose it's because they go from facility to facility for the next TV broadcast or advertisement gig.  Anyway this is the latest one. If you can't read it, it says "U.S.Navy" across the side.  The white line is from a passing jet.
