Bob's Story

I'm just an old steel worker from Ohio that played with telephones for 30 years and decided to live a stress free life and to be a nice guy to all regardless of how many jerks I meet.

South Carolina Visitors

Les and Linda took a ride through Florida during the last couple of weeks and stopped in The Villages before heading home. We had a great time together on the golf course and walking around the town squares, stopping once or twice for some liquid refreshment. We opened a bottle of Scotch we found in our bar. It said something about being made with peat moss. I've had Scotch before that tasted a lot better. This stuff tasted like dirt. Les liked it, so it was added to his burden on the way to South Carolina. I'll stick with beer or a little Gentleman Jack.

At one of the town squares. We even did a little belly rubbing. (That's dancing for those less sophisticated.) Linda thinking about how to get over the sand trap.

Les didn't have a great day on the course, which resulted in his helping out the local economy after paying off his debts.

Barbara and I (with the pudgy belly) on the course.

Trip to Texas

A Disclaimer: I went to Texas to see the kids and grandkids and choose this time to watch Tyler play football. Unfortunately, there will be no football pictures. And I did not get any good pictures of Vicki, Tyler or Tross, so they won't be included in the posted pictures either. I promise to do better next time.

Tyler's game was Thursday evening. It was cold (high maybe in the mid 40s) windy and rainy. The rain was coming down sideways. Dylan and I watched the game. The women and children stayed in the car. Not knowing how bad the weather would be we were not prepared, so Dylan stopped at a Tom Thumb and bought a couple of cheap umbrellas. The wind turned them inside out a couple of times, but otherwise they worked fine. The refs kept the game clock moving on out of bounds plays, penalties, etc. Halftime lasted less than 5 minutes. It had to be one of the fastest games ever. The final score was 6 to 0, Tyler's team won. When it was over Dylan and I were cold and wet, but I enjoyed it. It felt like football in Ohio.

Here are a couple of pictures I took during my visit.
